That’s why permeability is key to this scheme. By retaining the existing urban grain, physical and visual links connect the community through the site onto the riverbanks of the River Irwell.

Link detached units are proposed to minimise car presence, give permeability through the development (rather than traditional terraces) to the river, whilst maintaining a high density development.
